Canada Invites 4,200 Immigration candidates through the Express Entry System!

On 2nd September 2020, the Canadian Government issued a total of 4200 ITAs for Canada PR (Permanent Residence) to Express Entry candidates. In totality, 69950 ITAs (invitations to apply) are now already issued by the Canadian Government to Express Entry candidates in the year 2020.
The Express Entry round conducted on this 2nd of September was actually the 3rd all-program round since 18th of March. Overall, it was also the 162nd round conducted by IRCC. The lowest Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score required in this latest invitation round was kept at 475, unlike the 476 kept in the previously conducted all-program round on 5th of August 2020. The incredible number of ITAs issued in this particular Express Entry draw is a symbol of Canada’s commitment towards inviting fresh immigrants in the year 2021 as well as the subsequent years.
In the majority of the draws conducted this year, IRCC has consistently issued 3900 ITAs every 2 weeks although in the latest draw, precisely 300 ITAs in excess were issued to the candidates. This was the 29th invitation draw conducted this year, which takes the overall number of ITAs issued in 2020 to 69950! These candidates’ profiles were submitted in the Express Entry pool before the selected date and time.
The candidates need not have a job offer for being eligible under the Express Entry system but they can be awarded by the CRS with additional points for having a job offer. The Government of Canada works with a procedural norm of 6 months for PR applications filed through the Express Entry system.
